Colombia Deep

Coral rubble and large blocks near shore give way to ever bigger buttresses and pinnacles towards the wall, many with swim-throughs. The towers carry hard and soft corals, giant barrel sponges, deepwater fans and black coral. Large groupers, turtles, queen angelfish and schools of creole wrasse are typical, and reef sharks and eagle rays are seen along the deeper wall. Currents can be unpredictable.
