Snappers College

Snappers College is the main dive site of 6 Mile Reef and one of the newest reefs discovered at Sodwana. Amoray Diving explains that on an outgoing tide a current runs south along the inside edge of 7 Mile and reaches this flat strip of reef. The current gathers vast clouds of bluebanded, dory and humpback snappers, joined by slingers, goatfish and fusiliers. Paperfish, moray eels and juvenile boxfish live on the reef, and a small ledge carries black corals and a 2 m whip coral.
