4 Mile Reef

Also known as: Four Mile Reef

4 Mile Reef runs perpendicular to the shoreline. It combines a large wall with sand patches, canyons, gullies and bommies. Big, fragile plate corals cover much of it, so good buoyancy is important. Snappers, slingers and fusiliers school over the reef, bluefin kingfish hunt along it, and Pisces Diving has found orangutan crabs among the smaller life.
