Kaloko Arches
También conocido como: Kalokos Arches
Kaloko Arches shows how Hawaii's lava tubes formed: the crust of a lava flow cooled while molten rock kept moving underneath, leaving hollow tubes that have since broken into arches and swim-throughs. The site has some of the most dramatic topography on the coast, with canyons and vertical walls between the arches. Sponges and corals grow in the sheltered spaces, and the site is good for spotting nudibranchs and flatworms. It is also rated one of the best octopus sites, and spotted eagle rays and turtles are often seen.
