Pyramid Pinnacle

Also known as: Pyramid Pinnacles

Pyramid Pinnacle owes its name to the schools of pyramid butterflyfish that hang above the reef. The terrain mixes submerged lava arches, small caverns and pinnacles with patches of finger coral. SSI's Scubago guide rates it an intermediate reef dive. Jack's Diving Locker lists it among its favourite Kona boat sites, and the state keeps day-use moorings at Wawahiwaa Point for it, one of them labelled Pyramid Drop-off.
