A sand and rubble terrace leads to the lip of the wall, below which a sheer cliff drops into deep blue water. Groups usually enter a fissure in the lip and come out on the face of the wall at a large arch, then swim up through it and head towards Chun Chacaab. Black coral, big sponges and sea fans grow on the wall. The remote location brings chances of reef sharks, eagle rays, large groupers and loggerhead turtles, and hammerheads are sometimes reported. Swells are often large and currents unpredictable.
