Chun Chacaab

Also known as: Chunchaca · Chunchacab · Chunchacah

Rounded ridges run parallel to the current, and crevices and overhangs shelter French grunts, schoolmasters and Bermuda chubs. Spotted eagle rays, reef sharks, nurse sharks and many turtles are reported. Currents can be erratic and swells large, and few boats are around. The name comes from the trunk of the local chaca tree.
