Secca di Santa Lucia
Also known as: Secca Santa Lucia · Santa Lucia's Pinnacle · Santa Lucia Sandbank
The main cone, about 300 m from the coast, is flanked by two smaller rocks slightly apart. Its steep east face is covered with sea daisies and yellow gorgonians, while peacock's tail algae grow higher up. Congers and morays share dens, and octopus, scorpionfish and a few shy groupers live all around. Brown meagre hide in the seagrass, and a resident school of barracuda hunts among clouds of damselfish and saddled bream. The dive ends with spiralling laps around the main rock.
