Anna Bianca Wreck

Also known as: Relitto Anna Bianca · Anna Bianca

The ship carried many names, among them Vivien, Eminia and Argo, and was scuttled by German forces in Bari in 1943 before being raised and renamed Anna Bianca in 1963. On the night she was lost she hit the rocks and her crew reached shore. An island legend speaks of white powder floating afterwards, which turned out to be pumice dust. The wreck cannot be entered because its structures are collapsed and full of cables, but the captain's cabin holds huge congers and red scorpionfish. Forkbeards, European lobsters and colonies of shrimps live among the twisted plates.
