Buoy SP6
Also known as: Buoy SP 6
A giant mooring anchor rests on a terrace near the buoy, and a family of big groupers lives just beyond it. South of the mooring a Posidonia plateau, often crossed by eagle rays, leads to caves about 20 m long with wide openings. A vertical wall runs from about 19 m to 36 m and continues in ledges to the base. Sponges and bryozoans shelter lobsters, slipper lobsters and European lobsters, and a colourful canyon is full of nudibranchs. Significant bottom currents can make the dive harder.
