The top is crossed by rocky ridges and is often visible from the surface on calm days, about 400 m from the beach. Heading south, divers reach a wall full of cracks where octopus, congers, morays and groupers live even at modest depth. From about 30 m the wall turns red with gorgonian fans, with lobsters peering out of their holes. Dentex and amberjacks patrol in the blue. Consorzio Elbano Diving recommends it both to beginners, who stay shallow, and to deeper divers.
