Secca dell'Ancorone
Also known as: Ancorone di Capo Vita
The site is very exposed to currents and wind and needs a calm day. The dive usually starts at the south end with the huge old anchor stuck between the rocks at roughly 40 m. Heading north, colourful walls covered in sea daisies hold lobsters and European lobsters, slipper lobsters, scorpionfish, gurnards and morays. Electric rays may be spotted on the sand. Ferries and large ships pass close by, so guides keep an eye on traffic.
