Scoglio Fino
Also known as: Slim Rock
Less experienced divers follow the underwater continuation of the point among yellow gorgonians, where congers, morays and octopus hide. The deeper route crosses a seagrass meadow and white sand to a string of sponge-encrusted boulders that start around 18 m and step down one after another to 40 m. Lobsters, occasionally a European lobster and large scorpionfish live among them, and eagle rays are sometimes seen. Diving in Elba has also met an ocean sunfish here. Old nets on the way back are now overgrown with tube worms.
