Rosie's Ravine
Also known as: Rosie's Ravine/Goby Garden
At Rosie's Ravine divers meet the top of the wall at around 75 ft. Fractured bedrock steps down to about 120 ft and then carries on into a deep ravine. Black rockfish gather in big schools, lingcod and large copper rockfish are seen alone, and the cracks are home to giant Pacific octopus and numerous wolf eels. Next to it lies Goby Garden, a sandy patch packed with gobies that is used for the ascent and safety stop. PNW Diving cites reports of sixgill sharks here. Unlike most Hood Canal sites it is affected by current, so it is only dived when the exchange is mild.
