The Pinnacle
Also known as: Hood Canal Pinnacle · Sea Mount · Dabob Bay Seamount
The Pinnacle rises from the floor of Dabob Bay about half a mile offshore, and its broad, flat top makes a convenient place to begin and end the dive. The sides extend past 100 ft, with walls and boulder fields on the southeast corner where wolf eels and several rockfish species live. White sea whips grow at around 80 to 90 ft, and squat lobsters, Nanaimo dorids and stiletto shrimp occur in the shallows. Tidal current is usually negligible, and a Washington Scuba Alliance mooring buoy is used by charters. A Hood Canal charter operator quoted by X-Ray Mag calls it his favourite site for the variety of structure and critters.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
