Punta Vessinaro
Also known as: Vessinaro Peak
In the shallows large boulders rest on a gentle slope covered with algae and patches of Posidonia, where white seabream, salema and small groups of dentex feed among white gorgonians, anemones and sponges. Deep fissures between the rocks shelter octopus, lobsters and moray eels. Groupers are present even in shallow water but are most common at 25 to 30 m, where the walls and boulders carry red gorgonian fans. A canyon opens into a bay scattered with boulders, and on the way up divers pass a small cave formed by stacked rocks.
