Mohawk Deer
Also known as: Relitto Mohawk Deer
The ship began life on the North American Great Lakes in 1896 as the Waldo and had already broken in two once on Lake Superior in 1913 before being repaired. The park describes the bow lying on its side and pointing upward, with most of the remaining hull reduced to large plates on the bottom; according to Diving Group Portofino the 2018 storm made the bow collapse and damaged the anchor winch, and a large Hall anchor is still visible. Diving Group Portofino enters a large open hold, while the park advises staying outside the wreck because of narrow passages and unstable structures. Deeper sections carry sponges and red gorgonians, and moray and conger eels, groupers, brown meagre and octopus live among the scattered plates. The ship's two boilers lie apart from the wreck at about 50 m.
