Punta Chiappa Ponente
Also known as: Punta Chiappa
Punta Chiappa is a rocky spur reaching into the sea with attractive bottoms on both sides. On the western side rocky ground with shade-loving life gives way, deeper down, to detrital flats where striped seabream and red mullet feed. Around 20 m the rock is rich in algae, sponges, tube worms and starfish. Crevices hold moray and conger eels, cardinalfish and anthias, while octopus, white seabream and solitary dentex move over the open rock.
