Punta della Targhetta
Also known as: Plate Peak
The mooring chain leads to a silty bottom at about 16 m, and from there a boulder covered in yellow gorgonians marks the way to the eastern wall. The rocks are so thickly covered with yellow cup corals and sea daisies that they look painted. Red coral grows on the wall from about 20 m and becomes more abundant deeper down. Groupers are common from about 10 m, and crevices shelter lobsters, forkbeards, conger and moray eels. Dentex and barracuda patrol the open water.
