Ras Musandam
Ras Musandam runs along the south side of the island of Jazirat Musandam. The dive starts in shallow coral gardens covered with purple soft coral and grows deeper towards the south-eastern point. Current builds steadily during the dive, with down, up and horizontal currents, and a turbulent area off the point before it slackens round the corner. Whale sharks, giant trevally, barracuda, kingfish, eagle and mobula rays, and blacktip and zebra sharks are among the visitors. Sheesa Beach calls it the best drift dive in Musandam and requires advanced divers, while Freestyle Divers screens divers for experience before taking them there.
