Mines of Moai

Divers first sink down a sheer vertical wall until they reach the upper end of a cave. Divers follow the cave down to a sandy floor where the 'guardian of the mine' stands, and the dive centres ask visitors to treat it with respect. Groupers, batfish, sweetlips, jacks and turtles are seen on the site. It is offered to experienced freedivers and to advanced scuba divers.
