Sardine Ball
Also known as: Sardine Ball at Panagsama Beach · Sardine Bait Ball · Panagsama Beach Sardines · Panagsama Beach · Sardine Run · Neptune's House Reef · Neptune House Reef
Only a few dozen metres from Panagsama Beach the reef drops off steeply, and millions of sardines gather here every day rather than in a single season. The school keeps changing shape, and divers can swim into it and watch it reform around them. Jacks, mackerel and tuna attack the school, and dive centres report occasional thresher sharks and, more and more, whale sharks. Below the sardines the wall holds frogfish, moray eels and octopus, so the site rewards a slow look as well. Snorkellers reach the school from the beach, while dive centres usually bring divers out by boat for a quick descent.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
