Marsa Egla
The shallow entry makes the reef easy to reach even when the weather is poor. The bay slopes gently to fringing reefs rich in soft and hard corals, and divers usually explore either the north or the south side. Batfish, snappers, moray eels, octopus, crocodilefish, scorpionfish and stingrays are typical sightings. The central seagrass draws green turtles and, now and then, a dugong, and is a good place to look for ghost pipefish. With no notable current it suits relaxed dives, training and snorkelling.
