Marsa Shagra House Reef
Also known as: Marsa Shagra
Divers enter directly from the beach or are taken out by zodiac to the outer reef and drift back into the bay. The sandy bottom slopes between the northern and southern reef to about 30 m. The reef has been protected for about two decades, and many species pictures in well-known Red Sea field guides were taken here. Pufferfish and crocodilefish are common, baby blacktip reef sharks are sometimes seen over the northern reef plate, and dolphins and manta rays occasionally pass. Sinai Divers uses the bay when the sea is too rough elsewhere.
