The Valley
At first sight the flat area and gentle slope can disappoint, Dive The World admits, but the large hard coral formations are full of life. Overhangs and crevices hide nudibranchs, flatworms and crustaceans, and garden eels and ribbon eels live in the sand. Triggerfish nest on the slope and can be territorial. Near the reef edge schools of amberjacks and barracudas pass, with reef sharks and, in season, hammerheads. A rare golden anemone has been reported here.
