Darwin's Arch
Also known as: Darwin's Towers · Darwin's Pillars
Darwin's Arch is the main dive site of Darwin Island, the northernmost island of the Galapagos, reached only by liveaboard. Divers descend onto a rocky plateau at the base of the former arch, hold on to the rocks and watch the open water. Walls of scalloped hammerheads, Galapagos and silky sharks, dolphins, tuna and turtles pass by, and whale sharks are most likely from about June to October. Currents are strong and the swell can be high, so the dive is for experienced divers only. The arch fell in May 2021, leaving two pillars now called Darwin's Towers or Pillars.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
