Daphne Minor

Daphne Minor is a small islet north of Santa Cruz that can be circled in one dive. One side is a deep wall covered in black coral, gorgonians and sponges, where seahorses hide, and the other has flat platforms with small caves. A small cavern at the start of the dive shelters resting whitetip reef sharks and is visited by playful sea lions. Galapagos sharks, eagle rays and, according to Academy Bay Diving, frequent mantas add larger animals. Plankton in the water often reduces visibility.
