Arado Seaplane

Also known as: Arado 196 A · Arado

The wreck is a German Arado floatplane that was shot down in the Second World War. Fishermen caught it in their nets at about 250 m near Santorini, and it was then moved to its present spot in a sheltered bay on Iraklia. The aircraft lies shallow, so the dive is relaxed and open from try dives upwards. Dive centres on Paros and Naxos offer it.
