Bristol Beaufighter Wreck

Also known as: Beaufighter · Beaufighter Plane

The Beaufighter was a British long-range heavy fighter that served in almost every theatre of the Second World War. One of them was ditched near Naxos, and after more than a year of searching a team of divers found the wreck in June 2007. The aircraft lies in deep water, and Paros Divers takes only advanced divers with a deep specialty after a check dive. Large scorpionfish, sea bass and groupers shelter in the wreckage.
