The dive begins on a sandy slope and continues along a wall covered in hard and soft corals. Sea fans and barrel sponges are common, and Asia Dive Site points out the sea squirts and the many juvenile fish on the fringing reef. Mantehage itself is a large flat island north of Bunaken whose wide shallow reef dries at low tide.
