Barracuda Point

The site sits on the more remote northern islands of the park and is usually dived on a day trip from Bunaken. A sloping wall covered in sponges and hard coral is surrounded by schools of mackerel, fusiliers, bigeye trevally and rainbow runners. Great and blackfin barracuda gather here, sometimes in schools of twenty and more. Blacktip reef sharks rest on the sandy slope, eagle rays pass, and grey reef and hammerhead sharks have been seen occasionally.
