Wattabomi

Also known as: Watta Bommies · Wattabommi · Watabomi · Wattaboni

Wattabomi is a field of coral blocks, plate and cabbage corals spread over a sandy slope at the Mnemba reef. Sources point out its critters: stonefish, scorpionfish, frogfish, the Indian walkman and the rare dragon moray, while blue-spotted stingrays rest under the coral and garden eels rise from the sand. Red-toothed triggerfish, groupers and trevally gather above the bommies, and dolphins and turtles are often reported in the area. At its shallow end lies a small area with many morays that dive shops call Eel City or Moray Eel City. TGI Diving describes it as suitable for both drift and reef dives.
