Kendwa Reef

Kendwa Reef lies about 800 m off Kendwa beach and is long enough for an easy, extended drift at shallow depth. Its top can break the surface on extreme spring low tides. Dive centres stress the many juvenile fish sheltering in the coral, and sea turtles are seen here. Zanzibar Watersports describes it as suitable for both divers and snorkellers.
