Piramidi
Pyramid-shaped volcanic blocks rise from deep water to a plateau around 10 m, with the highest point only a few metres below the surface. Vertical chimneys and narrow canyons lined with yellow cluster anemones and orange coral connect the top with the outer wall, where yellow gorgonians and large lobsters can be found. Dusky groupers, brown meagre and moray eels shelter in the cracks, and the light through the clear water creates striking effects in the passages. Beginners can stay on the ridge, while deeper divers follow the cliffs to the Grotta dei Cirri at the foot of the site. Orca Diving notes that the site can also be reached from the shore at the Punta Spalmatore wharf when boats cannot leave the port.
