Hopscotch
Hopscotch is the deeper arm of Bikini Reef, reached by heading north across Bikini as the reef slopes down. Scattered ledges and crannies give shelter to ribbon eels and frogfish, while schooling coachman and goldies swirl above bommies and turbinate coral. Cup sponges make good photo backdrops, and anemones with porcelain crabs and ghost pipefish sit among the low corals. Because it is deeper, larger animals such as mantas, sharks and turtles come in to be cleaned, and game fish pass in open water.
