V83

Also known as: V-83

V83 was a destroyer of the German fleet that the Royal Navy boarded during the 1919 scuttling and ran aground on the eastern shore of Rysa Little. She has stayed in that spot ever since, sitting upright and leaning slightly to port, deepest at the stern and more and more broken towards the beach. One 3.4-inch gun points up at the surface, and a second one lies further forward among the wreckage. Crabs, lobsters, scallops, ling, conger and wrasse are frequently seen. Seals from a small colony on the nearby beach often come to look at divers.
