SMS Seydlitz

The Seydlitz itself was raised by Cox and Danks and towed away for scrap, but the site where she lay still holds a scatter of her parts on a sand, mud and gravel bottom. Divers find guns, one pointing upwards through its armoured shield, an anchor, searchlight irises, sections of mast and a large spotting top wrapped in hawsers. Concrete blocks and a barge left by the salvors lie among the debris. Saithe, conger and ling shelter under the plates. The shallow depth makes it a common second dive of the day.
