Ilsenstein

The Ilsenstein was scuttled as a Second World War blockship and lies on a sandy bottom with her bow cutting across the remains of the Almeria. A large triple-expansion engine, partly covered in sand, and four Scotch boilers mark the engine room, with a donkey boiler to the east. The bow and its railings are mostly intact and stand several metres above the seabed. Divers can walk in to her from either side of the barrier.
