Rutaki Drop-Off
Also known as: Rutaki drops
From Rutaki Passage a sand channel runs out across the reef and over the drop-off, so divers can swim out into the open blue. A school of barracuda is often seen hanging off the wall, and several species of tuna, trevally and other hunters patrol it. Turtles and whitetip reef sharks are common too. It is also a parrotfish spawning site. Pacific Divers notes that it has less surface current in swell than The Abyss.
