The Canyon
Also known as: Kanyon · Kanyon / Dimitri (Wreck) · Kaş Canyon
The dive begins over a flat shallow area, then drops into a V-shaped passage between two walls reaching roughly 20 to 22 metres, which divers glide through as if flying. A cave inside the canyon has walls covered in button coral and red shrimp, and Mediterranean monk seals are known to hunt in the area. Following the right-hand wall out of the canyon leads to the Dimitri, a steel coaster that ran into the islands in 1968 and spilled its cotton bales, which earned it the local name 'Cotton Wreck'. On the way to the wreck, at about 30 metres, an underwater memorial honours the local diver Gökhan Türe. A strong southerly current often runs through the shallow gorge, and the neighbouring Oasis Reef is a common second dive from the same mooring.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
