Cape Çoban Tunnel
Also known as: Tunnel · Tünel · KAŞ TÜNEL
From the boat on the calm north side of the cape, divers drop to around 20 metres and swim west at that depth until they reach a broad chimney hidden among large rocks, often guarded by a big grouper. The chimney leads down into a tunnel about 10 metres long, with the exit visible right away. Fragile Neptune's lace bryozoans grow in the dark niches on both walls, so careful buoyancy matters. On the way back, bubbles escaping through cracks in the rock are a playful sight. Wind and surge usually allow the dive only in the morning, but there is no current.
