Camel Reef
Also known as: Camel
Camel Reef never breaks the surface: its two rounded tops at about 14 metres give it its name. The reef is known for large numbers of dusky and mottled groupers, some of which approach divers closely because they were fed in the past. Dives usually start on the deeper southeast side where predators hunt, then spiral up around the reef to the top. Divers with enough air can cross the sand to the southeast to reach a second, deeper reef. Strong currents are normal, so the safety stop is made on the anchor line.
