The Big Cave
Also known as: Büyük Mağara
The entrance to the Big Cave is found by heading west from the point, but it only becomes visible after descending in front of an overhang at about 27 metres. Inside, the ceiling lies at 32 metres and the fine sandy floor starts at 44 metres and slopes deeper, so depth and decompression limits need close attention. Untouched bouquets of Neptune's lace, button coral and quickly retreating red shrimp line the walls, and a torch is essential. Further south outside the cave are a large chimney and a big rock arch to ascend through. There is no current, and divers with less experience can explore the cave roof and the shallow plateau instead.
