Kovanlı Island
Also known as: Kovan Island · Kovanlı · Kovanli island · Kovanlı Adası
Kovanlı takes its name from the beehives kept on the island for local Sercüven honey. Underwater, the outer side of the island is strewn with intact and broken amphorae as well as stone and metal anchors, one of the best collections of underwater archaeology around Kaş. The usual plan is to work briefly against the current and then drift east with it over Posidonia meadows, where red mullet are common. Large metal anchors are a highlight of the drift, and predator fish gather where the current runs.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
