Anchor Reef

Also known as: ÇapaBanko

Anchor Reef lies right below a hotel shore, so swimmers by the pool sometimes watch the divers, but the underwater life is varied. As the name suggests, many old anchors lie around the reef, some so overgrown that guides have to point them out, along with a few amphorae and two millstones. The rocks slope gradually south; Dragoman describes a hole in the bottom at 35 metres to the west along the rock and sand line, and Blue Team a pit at 30 metres where barracuda often cruise. Sweepers fill every crevice along the shore, and the current is usually mild.
