Corveta Ipiranga V-17
Also known as: Corveta V17 · Corveta V-17 · Ipiranga V 17
The Ipiranga was a 56 m Imperial Marinheiro class corvette built in the Netherlands and commissioned in 1955. On 12 October 1983 she struck the Cabeço da Sapata rock while approaching the island and sank about eight hours later, after the crew had been rescued. The hull sits upright on the bottom with most of its structure, the bow gun, the bridge instruments and many crew belongings still in place. At these depths it is a decompression dive, which Atlantis Divers runs as a technical dive. Open doors allow penetration, but only for divers trained in wreck penetration.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
