Coach Sugar Memorial Dive Site

Also known as: Coach Sugar Wreck Site

Neal Watson's Bimini Scuba Center and its partners sank the 165 ft J.P. Kipp barge in April 2017 and added three more boats within the following week. Besides the barge, the site holds the 90 ft Tug Manatee built in 1944, a 70 ft landing craft nicknamed the Lady in Red, and a small boat that had brought 19 Cuban refugees ashore on Cat Cay. All four rest at about 25 m, close enough that divers can see from one wreck to the next. Within a year juvenile horse-eyed jacks schooled around the hulls and turtles and barracuda visited. The site honours Grathen 'Sugar' Robins, a youth mentor from Bimini.
