Continental Shelf

West of Bimini the bank ends in a sheer wall that falls hundreds of metres into the Straits of Florida. The dive follows the top of this wall, which begins at roughly 43 m, while the Gulf Stream carries divers north. The site is exposed and the current is strong, so operators reserve it for experienced, advanced divers. Pelagic encounters are unpredictable, which is part of its appeal.
