Toyapakeh

Also known as: Toya Pakeh

In Balinese the name stands for salt water, and the village next to the site carries it too. From about 6 m the reef of soft corals and big hard coral bommies swarms with anthias, sweetlips, redtooth triggerfish, giant trevally and batfish. A steep wall lies to the south and terraces with huge hard coral formations fill the bay, while a gentle shelf to the north drops far beyond diving depth. The current usually makes it a pleasant drift dive, though shallow and deep water can flow in different directions. Bamboo sharks, turtles, Napoleon wrasse and, in season, mola mola are among the larger visitors.
