Temple Wall

Also known as: Pura Tembok

Temple Wall, also Pura Tembok, is a small wall below the Pura Bratan temple, close to the shore of Pemuteran. Sponges, gorgonians and soft corals grow along it, and ledges and cracks hold cleaner shrimps, electric clams, lionfish and, for the lucky, pygmy seahorses and ornate ghost pipefish. Sea Rovers notes that the coral is richest at the far end, where the wall curves into the next bay, and that a deeper maze-like reef extends from there. Because it is near the shore, visibility can be low. The underwater temple statues of Temple Garden lie just in front of the wall.
